MCP server
Connect an AI assistant
The Wireframely MCP server lets Claude, Cursor or any client that speaks the Model Context Protocol read your library, create wireframes and place components. What it builds is ordinary frames, Stacks and layers.
- Create a token in Settings under MCP access. Pick read only, or read and write, and when it expires: 30 days, 90 days or never. It is shown once.
- Add the server to your client using the config on the MCP page.
- Revoke a token from Settings when you no longer need it. Settings shows when each token was last used and how many requests it made.
What it can do
Read your workspace, wireframes and layers; create, duplicate, rename and delete wireframes; add frames, components, text, shapes, icons and Stacks; restyle, move, reorder and delete layers; change the theme. A read-only token can do the reading but none of the changes.
Plans and limits
The server follows your plan, exactly like the editor: Pro components need a Pro workspace, and free workspaces keep their wireframe limit. Each token can make 60 calls in a burst, then 1 a second on the free plan, or 240 then 4 a second on Pro. An account can make 300 changes a day on the free plan and 10,000 on Pro, reset at midnight UTC. Over a limit, your assistant is told how long to wait.
