Snapping and measuring

Layers snap to the edges and centres of the layers around them and of their frame. Red lines show what lines up.

A layer also snaps to sit evenly between its neighbours, or to repeat a gap that's already there; equal gaps are marked with their distance.

While you resize or draw, only the edge you're dragging snaps, and the size shows under the box.

  • Hold Alt while dragging to turn snapping off.
  • Select a layer, hold Alt and hover another layer to see the distances between them.
  • Moves always land on whole pixels.
